Sex therapy & counselling
“My aim is to help people become more comfortable with themselves, more embodied and alive. My goal is ultimately to restore pleasure, connection, and intimacy to sexual relationships”.
Many health professionals, including psychotherapists and counsellors, feel uncomfortable or ill-equipped to explore themes related to sexuality, gender, identity, and intimacy. This is why it is worth consulting the support of a specialised sex therapist or sexologist. Sex therapy or counselling can support couples and individuals with most sexual and relational concerns.
My approach to sex therapy is to work with the whole person - physically, psychologically emotionally, mentally and spiritually. By working holistically I am able to get to the heart of the issue rather than opting for a quick fix or “band-aid” solution.
In my practice I work somatically, with both the body and the mind, because developing the capacity to be fully embodied is essential for maximising sexual pleasure.
Some people may require multiple sessions whereas others may only require a one-off sex education session. In one-off sessions I provide individuals or couples with contemporary sex education, tools and resources that have the potential to transform a person’s sex life.
I have a non-judgemental, kind, and compassionate approach to therapy that creates a supportive environment where people feel comfortable talking honestly and openly.
Concessional rate are available. I can also provide successful sex therapy online via Zoom or Skype.
